More about the The Vault
AfrofutureDAO was launched by a core group of instigators who used NFTs and social tokens to leverage the Mohammed Amin Collection to commission and promote African artists and creators. The Mohamed Amin Collection was created in 1998, shortly after the death of Mohamed Amin, the legendary photojournalist from Kenya whose compelling and compassionate footage of the Ethiopian famine sparked We Are The World and the Live Aid concerts. The archive represents one of the world’s greatest unexplored historical artifacts, including unique, high quality documentation of the events surrounding post-colonial Africa, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
